ECAA was established on February 07, 1983, with a simple idea of forming a Community Association with a few members, to help and assist newcomers to America adjust and settle in Atlanta, Georgia. Now the association that started with humble beginnings has grown in leaps and bounds and has over 1,500 members and is growing by the day. ECAA established also a complementary association, Eder, that has a similar number of members. In 2019 the association relocated to the newly purchased spacious office complex with 6.8 acres of land. The office complex includes a huge auditorium that has been renovated since then, and several smaller offices. ECAA now poised to engage the entire community to be active participants of the association, and build a vibrant, more informed, and more engaged Ethiopia American Community that includes the new generation of Ethiopians Americans born here with the older generation that migrated to the USA
